Every acre of our estate vineyard is farmed with the attention to detail and singular focus required to produce Opus One. Since 1993, Overture has been crafted as a part of our relentless pursuit of quality for Opus One. In keeping with the tradition of many great Bordeaux estates, Opus One produces a fine second wine called Overture. As a fine wine, Overture will develop beautifully over time. Full bodied but approachable in its youth, Overture shows generous dark fruit aromas and flavors with a soft, supple mid-palate. Aged in French oak, Overture is comprised of the five classic Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Made exactly like the Opus One and sourced from the same estate vineyards, the Overture too is a classic Bordeaux blend with Cabernet Sauvignon making up around 70%.
